With his executive producer hat on, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has released a first look at the upcoming season of the hit show Starz show Power, via his Instagram account.

The short preview shows how the cautious alliance formed between Ghost (Omari Hardwick) and Kanan (50 Cent) at the end of season four has continued, with the two shown together with Tommy (Joseph Sikora.) The death of Ghost's daughter and the circumstances surrounding it appear to be a specter over the season.

However, Ghost's love, Angie (Lela Loren) doesn't appear keen on the union. Increasingly a problem, will Dre (Rotimi) be dealt with in some way?

The current iteration of the show was once in jeopardy, with 50 even saying he'd leave the show. However, common ground was found with Starz, with an extension of the overall deal for the Courtney Kemp-created drama set through 2019.

Season five begins on July 1, on Starz.
