Maci Bookout has been granted protection from her ex-boyfriend and controversial reality star Ryan Edwards.

The Teen Mom OG star appeared in court on May 21 for a hearing, during which she received a two-year restraining order against her ex. This comes on the heels of Bookout and her husband Taylor McKinney filing two orders of protection against Edwards in March.

I fear for my son's safety because of these threats and proof that he drives while under the influence. His behavior and actions are getting worse, I am fearful for my three children and myself, and what he may do, based on his threats.

Nothing comes easy when dealing with Edwards. He has made co-parenting extremely difficult for most of his and Bookout's son Bentley's life.

In early April, E! News obtained court documents where Bookout claimed Edwards "left voicemail messages threatening to show up at my house and take my son." She also stated that her ex "has made threats to show up and hurt me if I don't answer my phone."

Bookout and McKinney also have two children, Jayde 2, Maverick, 24 months.
