Shortly after ABC decided to cancel Roseanne, the network has officially decided to continue the show without the star. The working title The Conners will be a multi-camera comedy and will premiere in the fall.

The 10-episode series will be about the Conner family facing daily life struggles in Lanford.

ABC announced that Roseanne Barr would not be a part of the show in any way, not financially or creatively. They have reached an agreement that allows Werner Entertainment to produce the show without her.

I regret the circumstances that have caused me to be removed from Roseanne. I agreed to the settlement in order that 200 jobs of beloved cast and crew could be saved, and I wish the best for everyone involved.

Barr said in a statement, "I regret the circumstances that have caused me to be removed from Roseanne. I agreed to the settlement in order that 200 jobs of beloved cast and crew could be saved, and I wish the best for everyone involved."

Werner added, "We are grateful to have reached this agreement to keep our team working as we continue to explore stories of the Conner family."
