The Hannah Baker you know is dead, literally, but rest assured, she'll be back.

Netflix's 13 Reasons Why is returning for a second season, though the show's main character died, leaving many fans puzzled as to how the new season will pull this off.

The show, based on the book of the same name by Jay Asher, told the story of Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford), and her suicide but not before she recorded 13 tapes which she left behind for those still living to listen to which explained the 13 reasons why she killed herself. Here's the thing, Asher only wrote one book, and it ended with Hannah's death so what could they possibly do for a second season?

The Hannah in season one is goneshe's still there this season, but I would prepare audiences to see a different Hannah this season.

Langford appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Wednesday, and although details about the new season have yet to be revealed, she teased a few hints to hold us over for the time being.

"It was a very different season to season one for a lot of reasons," she began. "But I'm super grateful that I was asked back, cause I think there's so much left to tell and I'm really glad we got to focus on some important storylines for other characters."

"The Hannah in season one is goneshe's still there this season, but I would prepare audiences to see a different Hannah this season," the 21-year-old added.

No premiere date for 13 Reasons Why season two has been announced.
