Meredith Grey and the Grey Sloan Memorial team of doctors isn't going anywhere anytime soon!

The first Shondaland series is returning for a 15th season (yes, 15!) making it the longest-running primetime drama series on ABC.

"Greys Anatomy has a special place in my heart, and millions of viewers feel the same way," Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment, said in a statement. "Thanks to fiercely loyal fans who have been on this journey since the beginning, and new generations of viewers who continue to discover the joy and drama of Grey Sloan Memorial, the show is as strong as ever."

The show will go on as long as Ellen wants to do it.

The 14th season is currently still airing, but fans were told devastating news just a few months ago when the network announced that Sarah Drew and Jessica Capshaw were both leaving the show.

"Its always hard for me to say goodbye to any of my characters," Shonda Rhimes recently said in a statement. "Both Arizona Robbins and April Kepner are not only beloved but iconic both the LBGTQ and devout Christian communities are underrepresented on TV. I will be forever grateful to both Jessica and Sarah for bringing these characters to life with such vibrant performance and for inspiring women around the globe. They will always be a part of our Shondaland family."
