Emilia Clarke says farewell to 'Game of Thrones' & the 'family I'll never stop missing'

Emilia Clarke said goodbye to her "Game of Thrones" family in a sweet Instagram post. The final season won't happen until 2019.

Emilia Clarke said goodbye to her Game of Thrones family. The actor went on Instagram to post a sweet message about her time on the show after production wrapped.


"Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for almost a decade," she said.


The role of Daenerys on the show made her into a household name.


The actress continued, "It's been a trip @gameofthrones thank you for the life I never dreamed I'd be able to live and the family I'll never stop missing."

She finishes it off with a broken heart emoji and the hashtag: #lastseasonitis.


She recently told Vanity Fair that filming the last scene of her Game of Thrones character was crazy.


Clarke told them, "It f--ked me up. Knowing that is going to be a lasting flavor in someone's mouth of what Daenerys is"


The final season wont be out until 2019 and HBO is working on a prequel. The show will take place way before the Game of Thrones story.
