'Atlanta' renewed for a third season

The hit Donald Glover dramedy "Atlanta" will return for another season on FX, the show's last season won multiple Golden Globes and Emmys.

Donald Glover's Atlanta is getting a third season.

 

The dramedy is a passion project of Glover's, and the show has already won two Emmys, two Golden Globes, and a Peabody Award.

 

The show is about two cousins working in the music scene in Atlanta to try to improve their lives.

 

FX Productions programming president Nick Grad said, "Atlanta is phenomenal, achieving and exceeding what few television series have done."

Grad made the announcement alongside Eric Schrier, saying, "With Atlanta Robbin' Season, Donald and his collaborators elevated the series to even greater heights, building on the enormous success of their award-winning first season."
