Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo scored on a magnificent bicycle kick in Real Madrid's 3-0 victory over Juventus in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal

The 33-year-old had already scored earlier in the match, but he secured one of the most exceptional goals in Champions League history during the second half leaping high and volleying teammate Dani Carvajal's cross behind Juventus goalkeeping great Gianluigi Buffon.

The goal sent shockwaves throughout the world of sport.

Though it likely injured Juve's chances at advancing on in Champions League, fans inside the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy promptly stood their feet and applauded the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's theatrics in acknowledgment of greatness.

"Ronaldo's overhead kick? It was a 'golazo,' " said teammate and Real center back Sergio Ramos. "He's also won the prize of fans recognizing that he's played at this level for so many years.

"He's in a scary run of form," he added. "I hope he can see out the season like this. The result? Impeccable, very good."

The wonder goal he scored ... he's the best in the world. We have to keep enjoying his football, his goals, his hard work and leadership in the dressing room. The longer he's with us, the better.
