Zayn Malik breaks silence on Gigi Hadid breakup: thought he'd spend the rest of his life with her

Singer Zayn Malik opened up about his breakup with model Gigi Hadid in a new interview and said he wrote "Let Me" while they were still together.

Hearts were shattered when Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid broke up they were so beautiful together.

 

The former 1-D singer chatted with Ryan Seacrest about his new single "Let Me" and said the song was written around eight months ago while he was dating the model.

 

"I was in love and I think that's pretty evident," Malik said. "I was aspiring to be in love with someone for the rest of my life and the rest of theirs, as we all do. Things change and we move forward in life. Times change, but that's what I was thinking when I wrote it."

Hadid was clearly a huge influence on Malik and served as a muse to the musician.

 

"We go through experiences, so we have memories and stories and things to write down and contemplate and think about," he told Seacrest. "You get to really put your experience into something. It should be remembered forever."

 

Malik also said that he wrote everything on his new album and that he's rehearsing for his tour. The 25-year-old has been delaying a tour for a while, saying, "I'm really excited for that and to finally get out there and perform onstage. It'll be really cool."

 

The "Dusk Till Dawn" singer's sophomore album doesnt have a name or release date yet, but he assures fans that more music is coming soon.
