Florida man charged with murder in XXXTentacion's killing — 2 more possibly involved

One man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of XXXTentacion, and two others have warrants out.

A suspect has been arresting in connection to XXXTentacion's death. USA TODAY reports that Dedrick D. Williams, 22, was taken into custody before 7 p.m. on Wednesday.


XXX was shot by two men at the RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach and was pronounced dead shortly after. His lawyer, David Bogenschutz told USA TODAY that detectives thought the rapper could've been the victim of a robbery since he was driving an expensive car and the Louis Vuitton bag he usually has was missing.


TMZ reports that there are two other signed warrants by a judge out there, but no arrests have been made.

If worse thing comes to worst, and I fing die or some s and I'm not able to see out my dreams, I at least want to know that the kids perceived my message and were able to make something of themselves and able to take my message and use it and turn it into something positive and to at least have a good life.

XXX, whose real name is Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, is being remembered by fellow artists and his fans. His career was plagued by controversy, he was awaiting trial for domestic abuse of his ex-girlfriend.


His mother, Cleopatra Bernard Onfroy, spent hours at the hospital. Bogenshutz told USA TODAY that she's "stunned, devastated, somewhat rudderless at this point."


He said, "When a door closes that fast and that violently, it takes a day or two before it hits you. It's been very, very difficult."
