HBO released the first trailer for Imagine Dragons singer Dan Reynolds' forthcoming film Believer, a documentary centering on Reynolds' struggle to bridge a gap between his Mormon faith and LGBTQ community.

"I dont think I can think of many more opposite worlds than that of a rock star, and that of a Mormon missionary,” Reynolds explains in the trailer.

The documentary follows Reynolds as he organizes his Love Loud Festival.

I was always taught that if you want to make a difference in the world, you start with your community.

Reynolds says he was inspired to do the project after receiving large amounts of fan mail from young LGBTQ Mormons, including many who had been persecuted by the church because of their sexuality.

“Id rather do all that I can with this lucky spot that Ive been put in to hopefully put out a fire,” Reynolds adds, to a newscaster, in the trailer.
