R.I.P. music legend, Tom Petty.

The icon, Tom Petty, has died at the age of 66 surrounded by friends and family. Petty was rushed to the hospital on Sunday night after going into cardiac arrest.

The icon, Tom Petty, has died at the age of 66 surrounded by friends and family. Petty was rushed to the hospital on Sunday night after going into cardiac arrest.

Petty was born in Florida and had a troubled childhood. When he was 13 he saw The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan show and decided to form a band. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers were known as one of the world’s great live bands. Just a week before Petty died, on Monday 25 September 2017, the band played their final show.

One of the most popular rock stars of all time, Petty recorded iconic songs like “Breakdown,” “Don’t Do Me Like That”, “American Girl,” and more.
