Kendrick Lamar spits verse on new song “The City”
Kendrick Lamar has teamed up with YG Hootie to rep the city of Compton on their new track entitled ‘The City’.
K. Dot is back with another fire verse this time with fellow Compton rapper Y.G. Hootie. The two team up on the airy beat to create a banger confessing their love for the city of Compton. The two last teamed up on “Two Presidents” almost four years ago. Kendrick has been busy dropping versus on various artists tracks over the past few months including features on a Rich the Kid track as well as a Rhapsody song.

Compton gets a lot of bad press which shapes the perception of our city, but most never know George Bush and his family once resided here. They even went as far to suppress the fact, but you gotta give it up for The City.
The artwork cover for the single was a photo of a young George W. Bush who was a Compton resident many moons ago. Last week, Kendrick Lamar bagged his 25th consecutive week in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 becoming the first artist to do so since Drake.
