Death Row Records founder Suge Knight has been hospitalized after being moved from a Los Angeles County jail on the morning of April 2, TMZ reports.

It's unknown why Knight was transported for medical care. However, he's had prior scares, including treatment for blood clots in 2017. The 52-year-old also collapsed at a hearing in 2015.

Knight continues to await a murder trial following the 2015 fatal hit-and-run incident that left actor Terry Carter dead. Carter was run over on the set of Straight Outta Compton. Knight claimed he feared for his life after an altercation with Cle "Bone" Sloan.

He's had issues maintaining counsel, as his 15th attorney quit, claiming conflict of interest.

My case is a real simple case. Either I did something or I didn't. Either they had firearms or they didn't.

Toi-Lin Kelly, Knight's fiancee, was recently sentenced to three years in jail for helping him violate a court order, according to XXL. Apparently, Kelly assisted Knight in gettting around a court-ordered condition for phone calls from jail, when she reportedly set up interviews with BET producers about a Death Row documentary.
