Demi Lovato reveals that she broke her sobriety in a candid new song titled "Sober."



Demi Lovato has been really open about her struggle with sobriety. Now, in her new song "Sober," she reveals that she's had a relapse.


"Momma Im so sorry Im not sober anymore / And Daddy please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor / To the ones who never left me, weve been down this road before / Im so sorry, Im not sober," her lyrics say.


Lovato also apologizes to her fans who she feels she let down, and sings, "Im sorry for the fans I lost, who watched me fall again / I wanna be a role model, but Im only human."

In a candid documentary Simply Complicated the former Disney star talked about her sobriety, her battle with addiction and an eating disorder.  


"I was using while I had a sober companion and I went through like 20 sober companions," Lovato said. "I was either craving drugs or on drugs. I was not easy to work with. Its embarrassing to look back at the person that I was."


In the heartfelt song she reiterates that she's going to recover, singing, "Im sorry that Im here again / I promise Ill get help / It wasnt my intention / Im sorry to myself."
