Celine Dion's son René-Charles Angelil is making music and it's already charting — listen

Singer Celine Dion's eldest son is taking after her and dropping songs on SoundCloud.

Celine Dion's eldest son, Rene-Charles Angelil, is showing that the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. He dropped two songs on SoundCloud on Monday night and theyre already charting at the top of their R&B & Soul New & Hot chart.

 

He shared a post to his Instagram story writing "Speechless" to share his disbelief. The 17-year-old covered two songs by The Weeknd.

 

"Catwalks (Sidewalks Remix)" is a take on The Weeknd's song "Sidewalks" from his album Starboy. The second is a cover of his song "Loft Music" from the House of Balloons project.

I never want you to feel the pressure of being the man of the house, you have your own dreams and he is always with you in your heart and I am here for you.

Angelil posted on Instagram about then news by sharing a screenshot of the charting songs with the caption, "I woke up like dis.#ChartTopper."

 

Dion has spoken about coping with her husband's passing in 2017 and how her kids are helping her, previously telling Extra, "They are helping me, I am helping them it's mutual. What makes me most proud is to be a mother."
