John Mayer hospitalized for emergency appendectomy

John Mayer's show with Dead & Company in New Orleans on Tuesday night will be postponed due to an emergency appendectomy.

John Mayer was taken to a hospital in New Orleans for an emergency appendectomy and postponed the concert scheduled for Tuesday night. Mayer was on tour in New Orleans with Dead & Company, a group he formed with former Grateful Dead members, they posted on Twitter that he was postponing the concert that was scheduled for Tuesday night. It hasn't been announced when he'll be back on the tour.

Mayer has been hospitalized before for health issues. He delayed the release of his album in 2011 due to a granuloma found on his vocal cords, he was put on vocal rest for months. He was put on vocal rest for several months. He then performed two years later at the Crossroads Festival in 2013. Hopefully, this won't take him off the road for too long.
