Demi Lovato had to cancel some tour dates due to her vocal chords. The singer wrote in a series of tweets how upset she is about cancelling.

She said, "I'm literally gutted that I have to postpone this next show in Birmingham ... I've never had to miss shows due to my vocal chords or being sick in my LIFE. This seriously sucks. Haven't left my hotel room in 2 days now. Sick, bored and bummed out."

My fans are seriously the best... I cant believe how much love and support Ive received today.. the video of my fans singing skyscraper outside of the venue made me cry

Her fans understood and were supportive of her. She joked, "Most exciting part of my day? Getting a camera shoved up my nose and down my throat to look at my vocal chords..."

In a long note she explained, "I write this through tears of frustration and sadness that I have to postpone my concert in London at the O2 tonight due to being very, very sick with swollen vocal chords that were examined by an ENT (dr.)."

The singer also noted that she would further injure her voice if she tried to sing. She said, "If I go on tonight and injure my vocal chords anymore I could potentially have to cancel the rest of my tour."

Demi didnt want to disappoint her fans and she didnt want to let them down. She promised to reschedule the show. The 25-year-old said, "I'm so so sorry to disappoint any of my fans in London that have traveled hours to be here by plane or car, and to all of the fans that got these tickets for their birthday, holiday, or any other special occasion. It breaks my heart to let you down."
