Chris Brown was photographed with his hands around a woman's neck while he was staying in Miami. The photos look a little disturbing given his history, but now he's explaining why it looked odd.

He thanked the paparazzi for all the publicist and reminded his fans that he wasn't going down that road. He assured them that everyone at the party was his friend and they were just playing around.

In the photos, while some look a little off, the woman does appear to be laughing and smiling. It's just a little weird to look at.

THANKS for all the publicity today. Y'all know damn well I ain't going down that road. There is no need to even defend myself on the matter. Everyone that's around (girl/guy are my HOMIES. NO FOUL PLAYNO IGNORANT ST. END of discussion. LOVE.

Chris Brown's attorney Mark Geragos told TMZ, "She's a friend. It's obviously playful as she confirmed. Whoever invaded their privacy will be held accountable."

When a fan replied to him on Twitter about calling the incident "playful" he responded, "You certainly wouldn't want to talk to the woman in the picture who told my office that this is a total fabrication. That would mean the story is patently false and we know that never happens."
