30 Seconds To Mars guitarist Tomo Milicevic quits: 'It is the right thing'

Guitarist Tomo Milicevic has quit 30 Seconds To Mars, telling his loyal fans that it's the "right thing" for him to do.

30 Seconds to Mars musician Tomo Milicevic has quit the band. 


The guitarist made the public announcement via in a tweet that said, "I am no longer in 30 Seconds to Mars. I dont really know how to explain in a note how I could have come to a decision like this, but please believe me when I say that this is the best thing for me in my life and also for the band." 

Please dont be sad or angry over this and most of all, please dont be divided about this, this is a good thing and will be good for everyone.

The lengthy note went on to read: "The years that I have been privileged enough to spend with all of you live inside of my heart and mind as some of the most amazing memories Ill ever have. Even though this is incredibly painful because of my attachment to, and love for everyone involved, I know that this pain will be fleeting for myself, and anyone whos feeling the same because I know that it is the right thing." 


Tomo, who joined the band in 2003, went on to single out singer Jared Leto and his brother Shannon for praise, writing, "I want to say thank you to Jared and Shannon for allowing me the privilege to be a small part of their dream and to have been able to share the stage with them for so long."


"This is a good thing and will be good for everyone," he added.
