Disney has been teasing their Star Wars theme park for what seems like forever. It's been pretty well known now the company released a video confirming the news.

Disneyland in Anaheim, California will be the first to open their Galaxys Edge attraction in the summer of 2019. Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida will open their rides in the fall of 2019.

To say we are excited for the Star Wars-themed lands to open in 2019 is an understatement. All along, we have said this will be game-changing, and through the model we can begin to see how truly epic these immersive new worlds will be.

The teaser video didnt reveal too much but does show some of the concepts around what the attraction will look like come opening day. You can see the Millennium Falcon on a landing dock; the ride will let visitors pilot the starship.

At the D23 Expo, Bob Chapek, the Chairman of Walt Disney parks and resorts revealed some more news about the upcoming attractions. One ride will take visitors into battle from the Dark Side inside a Star Destroyer.

There will be a Star Wars hotel in Orlando as part of a new experiment called Disney 360 which will have guests taking part in a large-scale role-play. The rooms will look like starship bunkers, and even restaurants will be equipped with droid servers.
