Lamborghini introduces first Super SUV, the Urus

Competing with Bentley's Bentayga, the controversial new "super sport utility vehicle" set to arrive in the United Kingdom in spring, boasting a 3.6-second 0-62 mph time and a 190 mph top speed.

The gorgeous production version of the Lamborghini Urus has been unveiled per multiple reports, five years after first showing the concept version. Its the supercar makers inaugural effort at a contemporary high-performance crossover, ushering in a new generation of high-end sports SUVs.

Per Auto Express: "It uses a 641bhp 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, which develops 850Nm of torque. Its driven through an eight-speed automatic gearbox and complex all-wheel-drive system featuring active torque vectoring and four-wheel steering."

Lamborghini claims the Urus will do 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds, as well as 0-124mph in 12.8 seconds, notching a hefty 190 mph straight away.

Revealed at a special event in the SantAgata factory, the Urus is Lamborghini's first high-slung vehicle, a departure from its historically more grounded units. UK sales are expected to start in late summer 2018, priced from around $220,000 (165,000 pounds sterling.)

The vehicle is named after a large Spanish fighting bull, and the Italian brand says its a mixture of “design, luxury, and daily usability./
