Sony will let you turn your PSN trophies into rewards.

PSN Trophies are no longer just for bragging rights. Sony's new reward system will allow players to turn their PlayStation Network Trophies into rewards.

PlayStation Trophies will have more value than just providing bragging rights. Sony is allowing PlayStation console players to link to their PSN account to a Sony Rewards account and earn credit from trophies awarded for gaming. Players have the opportunity to earn 100 points for 100 silver trophies, 250 points for 25 gold trophies and 1,000 points for 10 platinum trophies. Currently, 1,000 points in the Sony Rewards program gets a player a $10 discount code on the PlayStation Network.

PlayStation linked members already earn 1 point for every $1 spent at PlayStationStore. Now, earn even more points."

Sony Rewards

Players will also be able to earn points rewards by subscribing to three PlayStation Network services, renting or buying three movies from PlayStation Store, or registering 5 eligible discs for a free movie code. The service is comparable to Microsoft's Xbox Live Rewards MyVIP program, which offers reward credits based on the achievements you earn.
