Childish Gambino's 'This Is America' gets the Fortnite treatment — watch

The latest to use Gambino's hit video: the mega-popular video game Fortnite. Yep, it was always coming, folks.

Childish Gambino's "This Is America" dropped last month and instantly brought conversations on the state of race, racism nationalism, and other contexts. 


Once people were finished with their evaluations of the art and posting the thinking pieces all over the internet, people inevitably began making light of the video's aspects for their own needs. 


The latest: the mega-popular video game Fortnite.  Yep, it was always coming, folks.

Given the constraints they're working with, they've done a remarkable job. I played the two videos side-by-side at the same time, and they've nailed the camera swivels and pans from the original.

As opposed to comedian Nicole Arbour's awful take on the video, Fortnite's interpretation of the video comes off fun, nerdy, and on point for those familiar with the game. 


WiziBlimp, which is the group that published the video on YouTube, put in work for this, using any of the famous dances with various moments from Gambino's video.
