Green Bay Packers running back, Ty Montgomery left the game Thursday evening after suffering a chest injury. It was later reported that he suffered a broken rib. The injury occurred early in the game, and Montgomery continued to play for several more drives.
Even more concerning for the Packers, his Jamaal Williams also suffered an injury in the game leaving with a knee injury. Although the Packers breezed to a 14-35 win, it was a costly win. Packers receiver Devante Adams also suffered an injury during the game.
He’s the full threat. He can obviously run it, he can catch it, he can displace and run routes and catch it. He just needs the reps in pass protection, because he’s actually really high in ability for pass protection. That guy’s a stud now. He’s got it in his body. He’s a very good young player.
Head Coach, Green Bay Packers
It has not been announced how long Montgomery will be out for, but it appears that Aaron Jones will get a majority of the playing time with both Montgomery and Williams both out.
