Former owner of the New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans

In 1985, Tom Benson purchased the New Orleans Saints after hearing that the team could possibly be relocated if bought by outside parties. Benson then purchased the New Orleans Hornets in 2012 and helped the team rebrand as the New Orleans Pelicans. Benson's legacy will forever live on in New Orleans as he embodied the culture of the city. R.I.P. Tom Benson, you will be missed dearly.
