Le'Veon Bell is threatening to sit out next season

Pittsburgh's star RB, Le'Veon Bell, is in a similar situation as last season as he begins to start leveraging for a long-term deal with the Steelers.

Just days after the Pittsburgh Steelers officially placed a franchise tag on Le'Veon Bell for the second consecutive season, he is once again threatening to sit out next season. The 26-year-old Michigan State product has until July 16 to reach a favorable long-term contract with the Steelers, or he will be forced to another one year deal.

If I'll be out till Week 1, if I'll be out till Week 10, or if I'm gonna be out there at all. It depends on how I feel at that time and moment

Last season, Bell and the Steelers were unable to reach a deal until the week before the teams season opener. When recently asked about his threats to retire earlier this season, Bell responded with: 'I'm playing for strictly my value to the team. That's what I'm asking. I don't think I should settle for anything less than what I'm valued at.' If the two sides fail to agree on a new deal, Bell is set to make a cool $14.54M under the franchise tag.
