Via multiple reports, Oakland Raiders defensive end Smith has reportedly been involved in another off-field situation. Per NBC Sports California, the troubled player was involved in a domestic violence incident with his fiance, Shawna McKnight, on Saturday night.

Per a KTVU report, "someone called 911 to report a domestic violence incident at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday, a San Francisco police spokesman said. A dispatch call by police states that the "suspect threw her around the room, bit her on the wrist and climbed out the window."

He fled before police arrived.

McKnight confirmed an incident had occurred to TMZ, and that Smith had been taken to rehab by her parents.

I can tell you this ... Aldon called my parents and asked them to take him to rehab. He complied. They went and got him. I was not there. My family took him and had him checked in. I wish the BEST for Aldon. And I'm scared for his life with his addiction. I cannot comment on the altercation but I can tell you I love him and so happy he turned to my family who considers him family and hopefully he gets the help he truly needs.

A first-round pick of the 49ers in 2011, Smith has been suspended since November 2015 and started out seemingly on a crash course with a Hall of Fame selection - 42 sacks in his first 43 regular-season games.

However, substance-abuse policy violations and numerous other arrests, including his current situation, will likely keep him out of the league permanently.
