Adding to the strife in New England stemming from the Alex Guerrero saga and the dealing with the now-traded Jimmy Garoppolo, there's word that Tom Brady would like to take a look at his contract.

The relationship between New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, head coach Bill Belichick, and owner Robert Kraft appears to be at a crucial juncture, according to 24/7 Sports.

Along with the antagonism between Brady and his coach about (now 49ers QB) Jimmy Garoppolo and the Alex Guerrero saga, there's news that Brady would be interested in redoing his contract, per NFL Network.

He's due roughly $14 million per year (average) over the last two seasons much lower than other top tier quarterbacks.

Weve had the meeting. And just to be clear. I dont know if things sorta...we have meetings all the time. Were not a big bureaucratic organization. We dont have boards, we answer to the fans as best we can. We met. And I met individually with each of them. But the thing I dont know if its completely understood is Bill and Tom meet a lot and spend a lot of time communicating.

As for Brady's plans to play, commentators at NFL Network say there's no reason to believe he won't, despite the ESPN report that he hasn't made a decision.

"Tom Brady is going to play in 2018," reporter Ian Rapoport explained. "He said it. Everyone close to him has said it. Everyone I've spoken to has said it. The Patriots are going forward with the very strict and stern belief that he will be playing for 2018. I don't get the sense that they considered any of these reports this morning about 'maybe he doesn't play.' "

"I also know Brady is planning a little passing camp with some of his buddies before training camp," he added. "That does not sound like the kind of the thing you would do if you were not going to play in 2018."
