The New England Patriots are doing whatever they can, to not have to pay big money to the top-end pass rushers you need to get after quarterbacks and are willing to go to extreme lengths.

For example, they hired taekwondo grandmaster Joe Kim as a pass rushing consultant, according to The Boston Globe.

Yes, a pass rush consultant.

Got the opportunity to work with @masterjoekim this past year and felt like I really improved from my first year with his help. Appreciate your work Master Kim and I know the best is in store for you

Kim is a former member of the U.S. National Taekwondo team and has worked with other NFL teams, most recently for Cleveland in 2016. That's useful, except that the Browns were 30th in the NFL in total sacks that year. So, yeah.

Kim will reportedly be working with defensive line coach Brendan Daly, to focus on improving necessary hand-to-hand skills.
