The New England Patriots signed former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison to a one-year deal Tuesday.

Harrison was cut by the Steelers, and visited the Patriots on Tuesday after clearing waivers on Monday. New England released linebacker Trevor Reilly to create a spot Harrison.

Harrison, 39, posted an Instagram picture with 40-year-old quarterback Tom Brady, jokingly saying he's finally has a teammate who is older than him.

It's not a "game changer" but James Harrison immediately telling the Patriots the names of all the Steelers line calls, stunts, checks, etc. certainly doesn't hurt either.

Harrison, who had 80.5 sacks with Pittsburgh, was cut on Saturday to make room for right tackle Marcus Gilbert, who's returning to the team after a suspension.

Finally... A teammate thats older than me!?? @tombrady
