Ex-NFL player Kellen Winslow Jr. has been arrested  in San Diego County on suspicion of rape and other sex crimes against multiple victims, authorities in Southern California said.

He stands charged with rape, forced sodomy, forced oral sex, kidnapping with intent to commit rape, and indecent exposure, according to a sheriff's statement obtained by NBC News. The 34-year-old is out free after posting $50,000 bail.

Winslow Jr. was arrested last week in the San Diego community of Encinitas on separate burglary charges after being accused of walking into a stranger's residence at an Encinitas trailer park.

When I was with the Jets, I almost went mountain biking with Kellen Winslow Jr. for a fun video. Alone, on a mountain with him doesnt really sounds like fun anymore.

If convicted, Winslow Jr. faces life in prison.

The former NFL player has had trouble with the law before. Back in 2013, he was accused of masturbating in a New Jersey Target parking lot.

Winslow Jr. played in the NFL from 2004-13 and was selected to the Pro Bowl with the Cleveland Browns in 2007. He is the son of Hall of Fame tight end and Chargers icon Kellen Winslow and grew up in San Diego.
