Brandon Marshall trolled after telling Dez Bryant there's no room on the Giants

All of the old sayings related to "speaking too soon" currently applies to the former Bears, Broncos, and Jets receiver. But do the Giants make a move for Dez Bryant?

When the recently released Dez Bryant expressed his desire to play with the New York Giants, receiver Brandon Marshall quickly caught wind of it and went to Instagram to shut that talk down.

He wrote: "Sorry baby bro, no room. @dezbryant."

I mean, in Marshall's mind, he probably figured, "why do we need two big receivers? I'm already on the team."

Well, until he wasn't. On Wednesday, the Giants released Marshall, perhaps to create for his "baby bro."

Sorry baby bro, no room. @dezbryant.

Free agent wide receiver

The cut makes complete sense. Marshall is 34 years old and is coming off a 154-yard season (as in 154 total yards) where he played only five games because of a season-ending ankle injury.

If the Giants do go for the younger, not-yet-broken down Bryant, it would be a practical upgrade basically Marshall 1.5.

I'm sure Marshall's awkward post proven false hurts more than the actual release though.
