With his future with the Miami Dolphins unsettled, quarterback Jay Cutler knows his career in football is up in the air.

Further muddying the waters, Cutler's wife, Kristin Cavallari posted on Instagram that she's taking her husband back to Nashville, suggesting he won't be back in Miami.

"The end of another chapter," she says. "Feeling very grateful for the past few months. Thank you @miamidolphins for taking such great care of me and my family. Back home and this time we took Jay with us."

She talked to People magazine, extolling the qualities of Nashville.

I love playing football. You can only do it for so long. Everyone has some point in their career that they can't play anymore. Whether it's your decision or someone else's decision, it happens.

He was recently asked if he'd only return to a starting role and with the Dolphins, who have Ryan Tannehill coming back from an ACL injury.

"Yeah, I think so," he said to Steven Wine of the Associated Press (h/t Chicago Tribune). "I wouldn't want to move again and go somewhere just to back up. A lot of these decisions are out of players' control."
