Carlos Hyde: 'We've got a chance to go the Super Bowl next year'

Hyde has a pretty strong reason for the confidence: quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. The Niners are only 5-10, but are 4-0 in the new quarterback's starts.

San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde says he'd like to sign an extension.

But that's not all: Hyde prognosticates a Super Bowl next season.

Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group reported the potential free agent's hyperbole, which he said after the Niner's 44-33 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

"Minus our record, we're a really good football team," said Hyde to reporters. "Next year we're going to win the Super Bowl."

I feel we've got a chance to go the Super Bowl next year and I don't want to go to another team.

The Niners are only 5-10, but are 4-0 in the new quarterback's starts. Hyde, however, may not be asked back onto the team. He's rushed only for 850 yards on 225 carries (3.8 yards per carry) in 15 games.
