The Cleveland Browns intend to sign running back Carlos Hyde, per NFL Network and ESPN.

The former San Francisco 49ers back will take a three-year deal, at roughly $15 million. It will include $6 million in the first year, according to the NFL Network.

Hyde led the Niners with 938 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. He also showed his receiving ability, producing 59 receptions for 350 yards.

The Browns may not be done at the running back position.

Saquon Barkley is a top 3 player. If you like him that much, you take him. Carlos Hyde doesn't change that for anyone with common sense.

The Browns still have Saquon Barkley in their sights, according to a league source.

Though the Browns have the first and fourth picks in the draft - and are expected to locate their future quarterback - having QB Tyrod Taylor on the roster makes taking the Penn State All-Americanat number oneeven more likely.

Few draft boards have Barkley, the draft's best overall talent, going beyond No. 3 or No. 4. According to multiple sources, the Browns aren't enamored with the big name quarterback prospects.
