Is Baker Mayfield officially heading to the NY Jets?

As the 2018 NFL Draft approaches, the Baker Mayfield to the New York Jets rumors is swirling into a legit storm.

 

On Wednesday, per draftanalyst.com, sources who've dealt with top quarterbacks at the top end of the draft are calling Mayfield's selection for the Jets at No. 3 overall a "done deal."

It's been previously reported by various outlets that the Oklahoma signal-caller has been the Jets' preference over other possible picks, i.e., UCLA's Josh Rosen or Wyoming's Josh Allen.

 

It's easy to understand why, when you dig into the numbers. 

 

Pro Football Focus reports that aside from the fact that he's the most accurate quarterback, Mayfield ranks highest of all the draftable quarterbacks in passer rating including the deep pass, and in and out of play action.
