From one local to another. Nick Foles got an unexpected surprise from a fellow Austin, Texas, native this weekend.

Matthew McConaughey purchased a full-page newspaper ad that ran on Sunday in the Austin-American Statesman, to congratulate the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback's first Super Bowl title in franchise history.

I just feel at home there. A mile feels like a mile, 60 minutes feels like an hour and a day feels like 24 hours. A relationship with time is important to me.

"From one local to another, Congratulations Nick Foles," the actor's message reads. "Just keep livin, Matthew McConaughey."

Although McConaughey is a huge Washington Redskins fan, there's nothing he loves more than the entire state of Texas.

As for Foles, he was born in Austin and played high school football there. The 29-year-old made a big name for himself after earning the Super Bowl MVP after passing for 373 yards and three scores while also catching a touchdown on a trick play in the Eagles 41-33 big upset of the New England Patriots.
