“I don’t have a ton of information about it, but I feel terrible for the guy. But with that being said, just knowing him and knowing the type of guy that he is, he’s an amazing human being. And he will work extremely hard to be back to play for this football team. I know that.”
Texans Head Coach, Press conference after the game
I can't sugarcoat it, I am devastated.— JJ Watt (@JJWatt) October 9, 2017
All I want to do is be out there on that field for my teammates and this city.
Hosting the Chiefs this past week the Texan defense took a crippling blow in the 42-34 loss. In the first drive of the game the Texans star defensive end J.J. Watt suffered a tibial plateau fracture in his left leg. He was helped off the field limping before later being taken to the locker then and an ambulance. On top of that, during the same drive Texans line backer Whitney Mercilus left the game with a chest injury. It was later reported that he suffered a torn pectoral and that both players will be out for the year. Hopefully Houston’s Rookie QB Deshaun Watson can help keep his injured defense off the field the rest of this year.
