Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer confirmed Monday that RB Dalvin Cook will undergo season ending surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee. The injury occurred during Sunday’s 14-7 loss to the Detroit Lions.

Cook’s injury took place early in the 3rd quarter during Sunday’s game. After receiving a handoff from Case Keenum Cook ran it up the middle. Cook”s hard cut to his right caused him to reach for his left knee resulting in a fumble.

“Dalvin had unbelievable big-play ability in a lot of different ways,”

The Florida State alumni is third in the NFL in rushing with 354 yards. He has 2 touchdowns, plus 11 receptions for 90 yards.
