Alabama safety Tony Brown thanked Clemson for gassing up the Crimson Tide before their decisive 24-6 win over Tigers in Monday night's Allstate Sugar Bowl.

After the game, Brown told AL.com (h/t ESPN) that Clemson coach Dabo Swinney had disrespected Alabama by voting them at No. 5, after Big Ten champion Ohio State in the final coaches' poll.

"I love Dabo for all the ammunition he gave this team, man," Brown said in a video posted by AL.com.

They told us we weren't worthy of a top-four team. I mean, look, that's what happens when you talk trash to us. That's what happens. We're going to show you.

He also went at Tiger receiver Hunter Renfrow accusing him of a 'lie' he told on Brown, in interviews following last season's national championship.

"I didn't read the whole story, but from what I heard he said, we were talking trash during the game and he felt bad about what happened during the game and he tried to contact me and it didn't happen," said Brown. "That didn't happen at all."
