Colts GM Chris Ballard held a press conference this week where he stated Andrew Luck has began the early stages in getting worked back onto the Colts offense. Ballard stated that Andrew has started a throwing program prior to participating in practice in order regain strength and motion.
It is unclear yet which week you can finally think about putting Andrew Luck back into your starting fantasy lineup, but the progress is a good sign. One thing to keep in mind however is because Andrew is still not there yet, the team will have to be mindful in the balance between Andrew’s reintroduction and still getting Jacoby Brissett reps in hope of winning in the short term.
“We’ll slowly start working him back into practice this week.” “We’ll see how much he gets. But we’ve got a plan in place to where we want him to start getting him reps and then, in time as we can get him incorporated back into team work and all that, we’ll get him back on the field.”
General Manager, Indianapolis Colts
The Colts are currently 1-3 coming into Week 5 facing what may be an even worse 49ers at 0-4. They have a slim chance in bouncing back this season, only down 1 game to division rivals, before it’s too late. If the Colts can’t pick up the pace they run the risk of missing the playoffs for what will be the third straight season.
