Actor Jim Carrey lands first leading role in a narrative feature since 2014 "Dumb and Dumber To" in 2014 with new detective thriller.

The first trailer for "Dark Crimes" gives fans a sneak peek at Jim Carrey's upcoming thriller. It's a big moment for the actor who hasn't taken on a leading role since starring in "Dumb and Dumber To" back in 2014. In the trailer, Carrey stars as police officer Tadek, "who finds similarities between an unsolved murder and a crime outlined in a book by famed writer Krystov Kozlow (Marton Csokas)," reports Entertainment Weekly.

I think the book is your confession.
