Donald Glover is everywhere lately, and we are not complaining.

With the recent premiere of his groundbreaking music video "This Is America," the second season of his hit show Atlanta taking off, and starring in the just-released Solo: A Star Wars Story, the 34-year-old is on top of the world.

Glover stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday and opened up about just how pumped he was to land such an iconic role as Lando.

That was a big moment. He was proud. Then I went and got a large cheese pizza and then went home and watched Empire Strikes Back.

"I told my agent, 'If theyre making a Han Solo movie, Landos gotta be in it, and I wanna be Lando,'" he told Kimmel. "And to his credit -- and I appreciate it -- he was like, I dont like your odds...I just really wanted to be it, because that was my first toy and I just really wanted to be that character."

Glover went on to say that it was his father who introduced him to Lando by giving him his first toy, a Lando action figure. Needless to say, once the actor learned he got the part, he made sure his father was the first to hear.

"I did call my dad first and told him," Glover explained. "That was a big moment. He was proud. Then I went and got a large cheese pizza and then went home and watched Empire Strikes Back."
