Get excited, the Cage is back and he's got a chainsaw!

RLJE Films has acquired all U.S. rights to the indie horror-thriller Mandy, which stars Nicolas Cage, Andrea Riseborough, and Linus Roache, multiple outlets are reporting.

Mandy premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, and it was a hit among audience members. Eager Cage fans won't have to wait long, as RLJE Films plans to release the thriller in theaters this summer.

We did a lot of oners. Some of my favorite stuff happens in one shot. It breathes and it moves. You have to have confidence to do that.

IMDB has described the film as, "Mandy is set in the primal wilderness of 1983 where Red Miller (played by Cage), a broken and haunted man hunts an unhinged religious sect who slaughtered the love of his life."

"The best-reviewed movie at Sundance is also one of Cages most extraordinary performances, reinvigorating our love and appreciation of him, said Mark Ward, Chief Acquisitions Officer at RLJE Films, in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. "Panos is a truly visionary filmmaker, and we are beyond excited to unleash Mandy to the masses."
