There's no denying it, Jared Leto can do it all.

After making his tattooed, shiny-grilled debut as bad-boy Suicide Squad member, the Joker,  the multifaceted Leto is returning to the big screen as Batman's archnemesis, reports Variety.

The outlet's sources say the Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman will not only star in, but also executive produce an untitled standalone film, paving the way for future movies stemming from the hit 2016 film, Suicide Squad.

I love the Joker. Hes a great character and really fun character to play. But its a big universe and when you play the Joker, theres no ownership there.

Plot details are currently unknown, and no word on when the film will go into production. Leto and the studio will now begin the search for a writer.

As of now, it's hard to tell if this new flick will film before or after the previously announced sequel to Suicide Squad which is a spin-off featuring Harley Quinn, the Joker's on-again, off-again girlfriend and partner in crime (portrayed by Margot Robbie).
