Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins showed off new photos of the sequel which is set in 1984.

Jenkins tweeted, "Welcome to WONDER WOMAN 1984, Steve Trevor! #WW84," along with a photo of Pine's character thankfully alive and standing in a tracksuit.

Gadot also shared the news by posting a photo of her character in front of TV screens captioning it, "Wonder Woman 1984 #WW84."

The most exciting thing about [the sequel] is literally seeing her loose in the world now, living those classic stories.

Pine's character Steve Trevor looked like he wasn't going to make it in the first movie he sacrifices himself by flying off with the deadly gas to destroy it while killing himself in the process.

Even Pine himself seemed unsure if his character was alive.

He previously told ET, "I'm an actor, man. I'm about as lazy as they come. So, Ill be by my phone or somewhere so they can find me whenever they want to give me the call. I don't know. I guess you'll have to wait and find out."

Director Jenkins also told the outlet, "The greatest thing about making this movie was the fact that youre really building to the Wonder Woman that we all love, but not until the end of the movie. The most exciting thing about [the sequel] is literally seeing her loose in the world now, living those classic stories."

Wonder Woman 1984, comes out November 1, 2019.
