Cameron Diaz has retired from acting

Actress Cameron Diaz has retired from Hollywood at the age of 45, according to her close friend and former co-star, Selma Blair.

Cameron Diaz days on the silver screen are over and that means no Sweetest Thing sequel.  


The 45-year-old recently dined with her The Sweetest Thing costar, Selma Blair, and reportedly revealed that she was done with Hollywood for good. 


"I had lunch with Cameron the other day, we were reminiscing about the film," Blair revealed to Metro News in a new interview released Sunday. 

That as you get older, your body changes in so many little ways. It doesn't react the same way that it used to. I don't get the results that I used to as easily as I once did.

"I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron's retired from acting, she's like, 'I'm done.' I mean, she doesn't need to make any more films, she has a pretty great life," the 45-year-old actress continued to explain of Diaz. "I don't know what it would take to bring her back. She's happy."


Diaz, who married Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden in January 2015, hasnt appeared in a feature film since 2014's Sex Tape and Annie.
