The bad boys are back in town. Sony is in early negotiations with directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, and they're looking to start production as early as this August, according to a new report by Deadline.

The Moroccan-born directors are best known for their work on FX's Snowfall. They're also listed to direct another pre-2000s cop film, Beverly Hills Cop 4.

You know what, I saw Martin [Lawrence] a few weeks ago. I hadnt seen him for about two years. And we just looked at each other, and we hugged, and in that moment, we both knew we were making another Bad Boys. Were definitely doing another one.

The film would reunite Martin Lawrence and Will Smith with franchise producer, Jerry Bruckheimer. The current draft of the script for Bad Boys For Life has been written by Chris Bremner.

The movie has been repeatedly delayed and has had trouble locking down a director after the first two action-comedies were directed by Michael Bay.
