New UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov calls out McGregor

After claiming McGregor's unchallenged lightweight belt, Nurmagomedov has words for the previous champ - "Please, be me."

On Saturday the UFC had a new Lighweight Champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov. The 29-year-old Russian fighter claimed the title uncontentested by the previous champ, Conor McGregor. Nurmagomedov had words for the old champion, "You want to fight? Come here. Inside the cage? Come. Outside the cage? Let me know. Without all this media," expressing interest to fight McGregor anytime, anyplace.

Nurmagomedov went on to reference the bus incident, "He come when theres a lot of security here. Outside the bus. Inside the bus, security here dont let me go out. Why do you need to show off? Let me know, and thats it. Any time."

Nurmagomedov's bus reference stems from the incident that landed McGregor in jail with charges of assault and criminal mischief. Conor was released on $50,000 bail and will return to court in June.

Nurmagomedov and McGregor's longtime beef highetned when Nurmagomedov confronted McGregor's friend and reammate, Artem Lobov earlier in the week. McGregor responded by throwing a dolly at Nurmagomedov's bus outside of the Barclays Center.

No more fake champions. No more champion who never defended his title or something like this. Now the UFC has a champion and this champion wants to defend his title.
